There is nothing – absolutely nothing – half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats.

Custom & low season boat tours on the Sunshine Coast of BC

CUSTOM MARINE SIGHTSEEING TRIPS IN THE PROTECTED INLETS OF BC.

Do you want something different from our scheduled tour? Contact us and we’ll apply our valuable local knowledge to help bring your ideas to life. There are a couple of ideas here to help you get started.

Low season

We are always here, always available. But we do not always have schedules for individual ticket sales. Low season is the perfect time for time charter tours. There may be a minmum charge, or more typically one charge for the boat. Boat charges are inclusive of the boat and it’s operation and expenses, excluding tax and gratuity. Our charterparty specifies that operating costs and liability remain with the us as the vessel owner and do not transfer to you the charterer. Our master (captain) has discretion.

To ask about charters  you need to start with an idea of what you would like to do, and when you want to do it. Let us help flesh it out from there.

SECHELT INLET:

Explore Sechelt Inlet. This very protected, inland waterway is an under used jewel of the area. The geography is interesting and inviting. It’s too big to see it all in one outing; the basin includes over 100 nautical miles of shoreline! Throught the area there is minimal develpment but it’s been appreciated by everyone who’s spent time here.

There are several options as to how you can explore here.
i)    Start in Egmont and include Skookumchuck Narrows, the western end and only ergress to more open areas leading to the Strait of Georgia.
ii)  Arrange a convenient pick up in Sechelt and explore the eastern end closest to the developed areas around Sechelt.
iii) Plan an odyssey to one of the northern arms, Narrows or Salmon Inlet.

PENDER HARBOUR & AGAMEMNON CHANNEL
PENDER HARBOUR & AGAMEMNON CHANNEL:

Pender Harbour was winter home for the shishálh Nation. Then, as European settlers moved in it became one of the first focal points on the BC Coast. The lower Agamemnon Channel is the gateway to the wilderness areas that surround the Sunshine Coast.

AGAMEMNON CHANNEL & SKOOKUMCHUCK NARROWS
AGAMEMNON CHANNEL & SKOOKUMCHUCK NARROWS:

We see several pictographs along the shoreline of this glacial carved waterway. We stop in spots important in native history an other spots that were settlement sites for early European explorers.
The aquaculture industry focused in this channel in the peak of its boom cycle.
We carry on into the Skookumchuck Narrows a narrow neck that is famous for the Sechelt Rapids at its eastern end. It’s beautiful here in any condition but it’s best known for the extreme currents. Plan ahead to be on site at the appropriate time to view the fast, record fast currents that can develop here.

HOTHAM SOUND & FRIEL FALLS
HOTHAM SOUND & FRIEL FALLS:

Picture yourself at the base of the 1200 foot Freil Falls. It’s hard to describe the natural beauty here. This is the largest vertical drop falls in the lower inlet area. We can carry on through Harmony Islets. Recreational boaters flock here to relax in the serenity of an always protected destination.

ROUND NELSON ISLAND
ROUND NELSON ISLAND:

Diversity. No other one work description fits. From the sheltered shoreline of the Inlets to the weatered areas along the Malaspina Strait side you get a bit of a taste of everything. The very narrow Telescope Pass and Blind Bay were areas settled early in our post first contact era and boast rich histories of settler stories.
