Ferries run regularly; check their schedule for seasonal details. You only pay one way; no charge for the return trip.

• Follow Trans Canada (Hwy 1) through Vancouver to Horseshoe Bay
• Take the Langdale ferry
• Follow signs tthrough Sechelt / Halfmoon Bay / Pender Harbour / not quite to the Earl’s Cove Ferry
• At Egmont Road (1 km before Earl’s cove) turn right. Drive 6 km (3.5 miles)
• At Maple Road turn left. Drive 0.6 km (0.4 miles). Watch for the sign for Backeddy Marina.
• Parking is available in the lot off to the right. Go to the the marina office for a parking pass.

On this beautiful coastline you will pass several communities; Upper Gibsons, Roberts Creek, Wilson Creek, Sechelt, and exit signs for Halfmoon Bay, Garden Bay, Madeira Park and Garden Bay. When you get to Ruby Lake, you’re about 10 minutes from the turn-off to Egmont.

It will take longer than you think. Slow down and enjoy the drive.

• Follow Trans Canada (Hwy 1) to Saltery Bay Ferry Terminal (30 min estimated drive time from Westview)
• Take the Earl’s Cove ferry (45 min sailing time)
• Drive 1 km (0.6 mi). Turn left on Egmont Rd. Drive 6 km (3.5 miles)
• At Maple Road turn left. Drive 0.6 km 0.4 miles). Watch for the sign for Backeddy Marina.
• Parking is available in the lot off to the right. Go to the the marina office for a parking pass.
